What we offer
You can select pre-packaged cover options or customise them for your customer:
- Buildings – the cost of rebuilding or repairing damage
- Landlord’s contents – such as white goods or furniture
- Loss of rent – if the property becomes unfit to live in
- Alternative accommodation – rehousing tenants if the property is uninhabitable
- Public liability – protecting landlords against accidental damage claims
- Employers' liability – cover for staff employed by the landlord
- Legal expenses – for contractual, residential or employment disputes

Our target customers
This product is designed for customers who own, manage, or are responsible for insuring:
- Residential blocks of flats
- Mixed-use buildings – incorporating residential and commercial units or premises
- Houses
The cover is not aimed at:
- Individuals or consumers wanting to insure their own home
- Portfolios of less than 3 private dwelling houses
Risk appetite
Preferred risks
We prefer to cover:
- Buildings with a declared value (BDV) up to £25 million
- Portfolios of up to 20 properties
- Purpose-built blocks of flats
- Mixed portfolios of blocks of flats and private dwelling houses (PDH)
- Properties let mainly to professional working tenants
- Low and medium-rise properties – up to 5 storeys
- Properties of non-combustible construction
- Buildings over 3 years old
- Properties in low-risk flood and subsidence areas
- Customers with good risk management
- Customers with low claims frequency
We will consider portfolios including:
- Grade I, II and II* listed properties – or equivalent
- High-rise properties – 6 storeys upwards
- Luxury properties
- Buildings with a declared value up to £50 million
- Portfolios of up to 50 properties
Non-preferred risks
We prefer not to cover:
- Buildings with a declared value over £50 million
- Portfolios with more than 50 properties
- Standalone Grade I, II, or II* listed properties – or equivalent
- Properties of non-standard construction
- Properties with combustible composite panels and insulation
- External wall systems with EWS1, B1 or B2 ratings
- Housing associations, asylum seeking tenants or student properties
- Individual holiday homes or short-term holiday lets
- Bedsits or homes of multiple occupancy
- Country mansions – including conversions
- Portfolios of less than 3 properties
- Portfolios with more than 10% unoccupancy
- New build properties less than 3 years old – including recent conversions
- Standalone commercial locations
- Customers with a poor history of escape of water losses
